About ShopOps
What is ShopOps?
ShopOps is an AI-native commerce optimization platform that helps businesses maximize their presence across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. We ensure your products are discoverable, trusted, and recommended by AI agents.
Who is ShopOps designed for?
ShopOps is designed for Shopify merchants, operators, and teams who want to prepare their store for AI-assisted discovery, recommendation, and analysis.
What does ShopOps not do?
ShopOps does not:
- Automatically change prices, products, or settings
- Run ads or marketing campaigns
- Guarantee increases in sales, conversion rate, or ROI
- Replace human judgment or decision-making
- Act on behalf of merchants without approval
Data and Privacy
What data does ShopOps access from my Shopify store?
ShopOps accesses data made available through Shopify APIs, based on the permissions you grant during installation. This may include:
- Store information (name, domain, language, currency)
- Product and catalog data (titles, descriptions, images, variants, pricing)
- Inventory and availability information
- Storefront structure and metadata
ShopOps does not access payment card data or Shopify admin credentials.
Does ShopOps access my customers' personal data?
ShopOps is designed primarily to analyze storefront and product information. We do not intentionally collect personal information of your customers (buyers). If limited customer-related data is incidentally processed through Shopify APIs (for example, anonymized or aggregated signals), such data is:
- Used only to provide the Service to you
- Not used to identify individual customers
- Not sold or used for advertising or cross-merchant profiling
ShopOps does not place cookies or tracking technologies on your customers' devices.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. ShopOps does not use merchant data to train generalized AI models for unrelated third parties. Any automated or AI-assisted processing is used solely to generate insights for the same merchant and is designed to avoid identifying individual merchants or customers.
Does ShopOps sell or share merchant data?
No. ShopOps does not sell personal data and does not share merchant data for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is shared only with trusted service providers (such as hosting or infrastructure providers) under strict confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?
If you uninstall ShopOps:
- We stop accessing your Shopify store
- Shopify-derived data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days, unless retention is required by law
- Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytical purposes
This process is aligned with Shopify's data protection requirements.
AI and Insights
How does ShopOps use AI?

- Assessing whether information is usable by AI systems
AI is used as an assistive analysis tool, not as an autonomous decision-maker.
